Staff Distributed Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Staff Distributed Systems Engineer to lead the architecture and performance optimization of our core Rust-based streaming kernel. You will design lock-free data structures, optimize memory allocations, and build fault-tolerant clustering protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and maintain our high-throughput stream processing engine written in modern Rust.
  • Design memory-efficient, cache-conscious data layouts for zero-copy deserialization.
  • Implement consensus and partition-handling protocols for our distributed vector routing layer.
  • Mentor senior engineering staff and guide architectural review across teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of production experience with low-level systems programming in Rust, C++, or Go.
  • Deep understanding of Linux kernel networking, epoll/io_uring, and SIMD hardware acceleration.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering high-scale distributed systems in production.
  • Strong appreciation for rigorous testing, profiling, and deterministic benchmarking.

About the Core Engineering Team

Our core engine processes gigabytes of telemetry per second per node. We write pristine Rust, test deterministically with simulation testing, and care deeply about cache lines and branch prediction.
